Slávnostné odovzdanie certifikátov a rozbehnutie ďalšieho semestra predmetu Zručnosti pre úspech – z univerzity do praxe na KAA FF UPJŠ.

Dňa 10.10.2022 prebehlo slávnostné odovzdanie certifikátov úspešným absolventkám a absolventom minulého semestra predmetu Zručnosti pre úspech – z univerzity do praxe, ktorý na UPJŠ zabezpečuje Americká obchodná komora na Slovensku a jej BSC Fórum. Certifikáty si študenti a študentky prevzali z rúk zástupkyne AmCham, pani Mgr. Kataríny Miňovej, PhD., pôsobiacej na pozícii Policy Manager v košickej kancelárii AmCham, ktorá spolu s vedúcou Katedry anglistiky a amerikanistiky FF UPJŠ Dr. h. c. prof. Mgr. Slávkou Tomaščíkovou, PhD. a jej zástupcom pre pedagogické záležitosti Mgr. Júliusom Rozenfeldom, PhD. zároveň otvorili ďalší semester tohoto predmetu.

V tomto semestri má predmet novinku – študenti a študentky budú mať možnosť absolvovať niektoré bloky priamo na pracoviskách trénerov a tréneriek a zoznámiť sa tak s ich pracovným prostredím.

Certifikáty sú pre študentky a študentov cennou prílohou k ich životopisom, keďže sú akceptované všetkými členskými firmami združenými v BSCF Americkej obchodnej komory na Slovensku.

Naše poďakovanie patrí pani Ing. Viktórii Moros, PhD. (IBM Slovakia) a pánovi Ing. Petrovi Rusiňákovi, PhD. (AmCham Slovakia), ktorí zabezpečenie predmetu dlhodobo koordinujú.

Ceremonial presentation of certificates and start of the new semester of the subject Skills for Success – from University to Workplace at BAS FF UPJŠ.

On 10 October 2022, a ceremony was held to award certificates to successful graduates of the previous semester of the course Skills for Success – from University to Workplace, which is provided by the American Chamber of Commerce in Slovakia and its BSC Forum. The students received their certificates from the hands of the AmCham representative, Dr. Katarína Miňová, working in the position of Policy Manager in the Košice office of AmCham, who together with the head of the Department of British and American Studies FF UPJŠ Dr. h. c. prof. Dr. Slávka Tomaščíková and her deputy for pedagogical affairs Dr. Július Rozenfeld opened another semester of this course.

This semester, the subject has a novelty – students will have the opportunity to complete some blocks directly at the workplaces of trainers and thus get to know their working environment.

For students, certificates are a valuable addition to their CVs, as they are accepted by all member companies associated with the BSCF of the American Chamber of Commerce in Slovakia.

Our thanks go to Dr. Viktoria Moros (IBM Slovakia) and Dr. Peter Rusiňák (AmCham Slovakia), who have coordinated the provision of the subject for a long time.

Ďalší úspešný semester Zručností pre úspech a ďalšie certifikáty odovzdané absolventom predošlých semestrov na KAA FF UPJŠ.

Študenti a študentky KAA FF UPJŠ si dňa 2. mája 2022 prevzali certifikáty BSCF Americkej obchodnej komory na Slovensku o úspešnom absolvovaní predošlých semestrov predmetu Zručnosti pre úspech – z univerzity do praxe. Naša katedrová spolupráca s Americkou obchodnou komorou a zástupcami obchodu a priemyslu v regióne Košíc vyústila do prípravy troch ďaších skupín študentov a študentiek, ktorí získali špecializované vzdelanie a výcvik v oblasti tvrdých a mäkkých zručností pre svoju budúcu prax.
Radi by sme vyjadrili naše poďakovanie Dr. Petrovi Rusiňákovi (Senior Policy Manager AmCham) a Dr. Viktorii Moros, manažérke a koordinátorke tímu PMO v IBM, a koordinátorke predmetu za ABSCF AmCham, ktorí zabezpečujú realizáciu predmetu a našli si čas na návštevu našej katedry a odovzdanie certifikátov.

Dr. Rusiňák a Dr. Moros sa zároveň zúčastnili záverečných prezentácií študentiek a študentov bežiaceho semestra predmetu Zručnosti pre úspech a spolu s Mgr. Júliusom Rozenfeldom, PhD. mali možnosť zhodnotiť výsledky práce študentiek a študentov FF UPJŠ. Tento unikátny vzdelávací model je na Slovensku stále jedinečnou možnosťou a účasť v programe je pre UPJŠ veľkou a neoceniteľnou výsadou. Na KAA FF UPJŠ neustále pracujeme na skvalitňovaní, aktualizácii a modernizácii programu tak, aby vyhovoval súčasným potrebám slovenského a medzinárodného trhu práce.

Another successful semester of Skills for Success course, more successful graduates with certificates at the BAS FF UPJŠ.

Students of the British and American Studies Department FF UPJŠ in Košice received their BSCF American Chamber of Commerce in Slovakia certificates about having completed Skills for Success – from University to Workplace training series in the previous three semesters on 2 May 2022. Our cooperation with the
American Chamber of Commerce and with representatives of business and industry in the Košice region have resulted in three more groups of undergraduate students having received specialized education and training in hard and soft skills for their future workplace. We would like to express our thanks to Dr. Peter Rusiňák, Senior Policy Manager of AmCham and Dr. Viktória Moros, Manager and Coordinator of PMO team at IBM and the coordinator of the course who coordinate the training of our students and found time to pay a visit to the Department of British and American Studies FF UPJŠ and award the certificates to the students.

Dr. Rusiňák and Dr. Moros at the same time participated in the assessment of the final presentations of the students of the current course and together with Dr. Rozenfeld evaluated the results of students' work. This training model is still unique in Slovakia and participation in the program is a great privilege for UPJŠ. At the BAS FF UPJŠ we constantly work on enhancing, updating, and modernizing the program to respect the actual needs of the Slovak and international job markets.

Zástupca AmCham odovzdal certifikáty absolventom a absolventkám predmetu Zručnosti pre úspech – z univerzity do praxe.

Po úspešnom ukončení predmetu Zručnosti pre úspech – z univerzity do praxe, ktorý je zameraný na tzv. mäkké a tvrdé zručnosti, a ktorý pre UPJŠ zabezpečujú tréneri a trénerky firiem združených v Americkej obchodnej komore (AmCham) a jej Fóre pre centrá podnikových služieb (BSCF), si študenti a študentky Katedry anglistiky a amerikanistiky FF UPJŠ od zástupcu AmCham Ing. Mareka Hrubča, ktorý vedie košickú kanceláriu AmCham, a za prítomnosti zástupcu vedúcej KAA FF UPJŠ pre pedagogickú činnosť Mgr. Júliusa Rozenfelda, PhD. a vedúcej katedry Dr. h. c. doc. Mgr. Slávky Tomaščíkovej, PhD., 5.10.2020 prevzali certifikáty, ktoré im umožnia získať lepšie pozície na pracovnom trhu nielen na Slovensku, ale aj v zahraničí.

Tento atraktívny a pre reálnu prax nevyhnutný povinne voliteľný predmet je na UPJŠ realizovaný od akademického roka 2018/2019, má za sebou už štyri úspešné semestre s viac ako 70 absolventmi a absolventkami prevažne z KAA FF UPJŠ. V pondelok 5.10.2020 bol otvorený ďalší semester, ktorý kvoli preventívnym opatreniam pobeží online pre 20 študentov a študentiek katedry. Predmet za AmCham od jeho zavedenia koordinujú Ing. Peter Rusiňák, PhD. a Ing. Viktória Susňáková, PhD.

Absolventom a absolventkám blahoželáme a súčasným študentom a študentkám predmetu prajeme veľa úspechov v nadobúdaní týchto pre ich budúcu prax veľmi potrebných zručností.

After the successful completion of the course Skills for Success – from university to workplace, which is focused on the so-called soft and hard skills, and which is provided for UPJŠ by trainers of companies associated in the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) and its Business Services Center Forum (BSCF), students of the Department of British and American Studies FF UPJŠ from the AmCham representative Ing. Marek Hrubčo, who heads the AmCham office in Košice, and in the presence of the deputy head of BAS FF UPJŠ for pedagogical activities, Mgr. Július Rozenfeld, PhD. and the head of the department Dr. h. c. doc. Mgr. Slávka Tomaščíková, PhD., on 5.10.2020 took over the certificates, which will enable them to gain better positions on the labour market not only in Slovakia but also abroad.

This attractive and compulsory elective course necessary for real practice has been implemented at UPJŠ since the academic year 2018/2019, it has already had four successful semesters with more than 70 graduates, mostly from BAS FF UPJŠ. On Monday, October 5, 2020, another semester was opened, which will run online for 20 students of the department due to preventive measures. The course has been launched and is coordinated by the AmCham representatives – Ing. Peter Rusiňák, PhD. and Ing. Viktória Susňáková, PhD.

We congratulate the graduates and wish the current students a lot of success in acquiring these skills, which are very necessary for their future practice.

Predmet Zručnosti pre úspech – z univerzity do praxe na KAA FF UPJŠ už po tretí raz

Dňa 7. októbra 2019 sme úspešne odštartovali tretí semester povinne voliteľného predmetu mäkkých a tvrdých zručností „Zručnosti pre úspech – z univerzity do praxe,“ ktorého trénermi sú lektori firiem združených v BSCF Americkej obchodnej komory na Slovensku, a ktorého koordinátorkou je v tomto akademickom roku Dr. Viktória Susňáková z IBM Košice.
Na úvod zástupca Americkej obchodnej komory na Slovensku – riaditeľ jej košickej kancelárie a náš absolvent Mgr. Martin Mudrák a zástupca vedúcej katedry Mgr. Július Rozenfeld, PhD. odmenili minuloročných absolventov predmetu certifikátom. Tak ako v predošlých dvoch semestroch sa predmet teší z hojnej účasti nových študentov a študentiek, ktorí už úspešne zvládli svoj prvý tréning s trénerkami z LafargeHolcim a nedočkavo očakávajú tie ďalšie s trénermi z firiem Dell Slovensko, getCLIENTS, Deutsche Telekom, T-Systems Slovakia a IBM Slovensko.

Naše poďakovanie za túto jedinečnú možnosť opäť smeruje do BSCF AmCham a Dr. Petrovi Rusiňákovi.

Skills for Success – from University to Workplace for the third time at the BAS FF UPJŠ

On 7 October 2019, we have successfully opened the third semester of the course of soft and hard skills „Skills for Success – from University to Workplace“ in cooperation with the trainers of the BSCF of the American Chamber of Commerce in Slovakia coordinated by Dr. Viktória Susňáková (IBM Košice).
At the beginning, the representative of the AmCham, the director of its Košice office and our Alumni Martin Mudrák, M.A. together with the Deputy-Head of the BAS Dr. Július Rozenfeld rewarded our graduates from the last year with certificates. The course enjoys an abundance of new students who have already successfully completed their first training with the trainers of LafargeHolcim and they are eagerly awaiting the next ones with the trainers from Dell Slovakia, getCLIENTS, Deutsche Telekom, T-Systems Slovakia and IBM Slovakia.

Our words of thanks for this unique opportunity go yet again to the BSCF AmCham and Dr. Peter Rusiňák.
